  • 1.Estimates
  • Is there a charge for an estimate?

    No!  Our written estimates are FREE!  There are no trip charges, hidden charges, or deposits required and refunded only if you sign a contract with us.

    The free estimate applies to the initial complementary meeting where we will discuss the scope of your project.  Additional services during the estimating phase such as drawings and producing samples are excluded from this and may incur a fee.

  • How long does it take to get an estimate?

    We strive to provide a written estimate within 5-7 business days.  Depending on the scope of the project, the estimate may take longer.  Rest assured, our staff will communicate with you if the estimate will take more time.

  • Can you give me a ballpark estimate over the phone?

    We would prefer not to do so.  Since the final cost depends on many factors, our representatives take the time to meet with you and understand your project completely before producing an accurate estimate.

  • How do I get started with an estimate?

    Obtaining an estimate is easy.  Simply call and speak with one of our sales representatives.  They will ask you a few questions such as the general scope of work, job location, and timeline, before scheduling an appointment to meet with you.

  • Do I need to go to Crestview to get an estimate?

    No, it isn't necessary.  While we welcome clients at our main office in Crestview, our representatives generally meet with you in your home.

     

  • Will the final cost change from the estimate?

    A majority of the time, no. However, if you make changes or upgrade items after the estimate has been approved, the final price may change. In this instance, our sales representative will tell you that there is an additional cost when confirming the change with you. There won't be any surprises when the final bill is presented.

  • Are drawings of my project included in the estimate?

    In some cases, yes.  While we are happy to show you a visual representation of your project if necessary, these drawings are considered the property of Waltz Cabinets.  Drawings may be released to you for a fee.

  • What are your operating hours?

    Our main office in Crestview is open Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. We are closed weekends and major holidays.

    Our showroom in Destin is open by appointment only.

  • 3.Sales Representatives
  • Do I need an appointment to meet with a sales representative?

    While clients are welcome to stop by our Crestview office anytime during regular business hours (Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm), regrettably, there are times when sales staff is not present.  To ensure you get the attention you deserve, our representatives are happy to reserve a time to meet exclusively with you at our office.

    In-home meetings are by appointment.  Our reps will work with you to find the time that best suits your  schedule.

  • What should I expect when I meet with a rep?

    When meeting with a sales rep, they will take the time to get to know you, understand the scope of your project, take measurements, and collect any pictures or sketches you have that show what you want.

  • When are your sales reps available?

    Our sales representatives are typically available to meet during normal business hours, which are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.  However, our representatives are flexible and may be able to meet with you outside of those times and days.  Please call a rep for details.

  • 4.Products and Services
  • Are kitchen cabinets the only thing you offer?

    Definitely not. We can custom make cabinets or shelves for any room in the home. In addition to cabinets, we have done bookshelves, desks, home theaters, bunk beds, and entertainment centers.

  • Do you offer remodeling services?

    Waltz concentrates on the manufacturing and installation of cabinets and other custom wood pieces such as an entertainment center or bookshelves.  We don't do work such as installing flooring, backsplashes, painting other rooms, or structural changes to the layout of a room.  In some instances, we may be able to help you find a contractor to handle the work we are unable to do.

  • Do you offer design services?

    Yes, we can help with this.  Design services may be offered independently and may incur a consultation fee.  One of our designers will draw your kitchen to create a visual of how it would look.  They may also make suggestions as to the best placement of cabinets, islands, and accessories in order to create a good flow.

    Drawings made during the estimating process are considered the property of Waltz Cabinets and will be retained by us.  Should you choose another company to do your project, drawings may be released for a fee.

  • 5.Installation
  • Who installs your cabinets?

    We have a qualified installation team on staff.

  • Do you ever subcontract out installation?

    Rarely. We only use subcontractors we are confident will uphold our strict standards and all work done by them must meet our expectations. If you have concerns, please feel free to discuss them with your sales rep.

  • I have already purchased my cabinets. Will you install them?

    Unfortunately, this is not a service we offer. One of our goals is to have complete customer satisfaction. In order to do this, we need to be assured the product quality and installation meets our rigorous standards. As we cannot control the quality of product purchased elsewhere, we will only install items manufactured or purchased through us.

  • Can I do installation myself or arrange for it to be done?

    It is possible for Waltz to provide manufacturing and delivery of product only while you handle the installation. Contact a sales rep with questions.

  • 6.Payment and Terms
  • What are your payment terms?

    Standard terms are:

    80% of total contract due upon acceptance and signing of contract.

    20% due upon final installation.

    Exceptions to these terms may be made.  Please discuss any concerns about terms with your sales rep.

  • Do you offer financing?

    No.  We do not offer financing.  All jobs require a deposit as outlined under Payment Terms.

  • Do you offer extended terms?

    We do not. Final payment is expected when installation is complete. However, the final cost will never be a surprise to you since our estimates are accurate and complete. If the cost does increase due to factors beyond our control, you will know as soon as we do.

  • What forms of payment do you take?

    We accept cash, check and Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.  There may be an administrative fee for use of credit card.

  • 7.Miscellaneous
  • Do you keep cabinets in stock available for purchase?

    Our shop is set up to custom manufacture items. We don't have cabinets, countertops or accessories on the shelf ready for resale.

  • How long will my project take?

    From initial meeting to final installation, projects may take 8-12 weeks. The sales rep will keep you informed every step of the way as to the status of your project.
